What are anti-vandal window shutters?
They are installed to protect against attacks aimed at the windows in shipping containers or modular buildings. Our window shutters have been engineered purposely for the shipping container manufacture and conversion industry. They are traditionally installed alongside an anti-vandal personnel door, now also available in our container door range.
Optional Certified Security
For additional security, choose to upgrade to our STS202 BR2 security version. Accredited by the police safety scheme Secured By Design, our Shipping Container Window Shutter has been fully tested and certified to meet the required specification.
Finish
Wet sprayed with a grey primer finish, the paint has been designed to take your final paint coat on-site. We recommend painting within 24 hours of install. To aid installation, we mask an area of the perimeter of the frame before primer painting. This allows you to weld straight to the bare galvanised steel material and reduce the need to linish back before welding.
Construction
Manufactured with 1mm galvanised steel door skins and 2mm galvanised steel frames, an additional 3mm welded astragal is welded to the edges of the leaves for additional security.
Insulation
Insulated with polyurethane foam (also known as PU foam), the door leaves are injected with PU foam for superior insulation values, improved strength and rigidity.
Internal reinforcements
A full sub frame and integral bars are welded inside the door for additional strength and integrity.
Locking System
4 internal flush bolts are simple but effective in securing the door leaves within the frame.
