What are anti-vandal container shutters?
They are installed to protect against attacks aimed at the windows in shipping containers or modular buildings. Our container window shutters have been engineered purposely for the shipping container manufacturing and conversion industry. They are traditionally installed alongside an anti-vandal personnel door, now also available in our container door range.
Fire-Rated Testing
Our shutters are rigorously tested for durability and safety, providing 30 minutes of protection with the UPVC unit and 60 minutes with the double-glazed aluminium unit. Available exclusively with either the UPVC or double-glazed aluminium unit. Please note: these products are tested but not certified.
Finish
Wet-sprayed with a grey primer finish, the paint has been designed to take your final paint coat on-site. We recommend painting within 24 hours of installation. To aid installation, we mask an area of the perimeter of the frame before primer painting. This allows you to weld straight to the bare galvanised steel material and reduce the need to finish back before welding.
Construction
Manufactured with 1mm galvanised steel door skins and 2mm galvanised steel frames, an additional 3mm welded astragal is welded to the edges of the leaves for additional security.
