How to Install a Door Cill (AKA Sill)

Our Door Cill (AKA Sill) is supplied in a standard size ready to be cut down on site to the size required for your door. Follow these simple steps for easy installation:

  1. Measure the size required to fit your aperture
  2. Once measured, cut the door cill down to the correct size and fit the black end caps
  3. Run a bead of silicone under the bottom of the cill (on the 90mm section)
  4. Place the door cill into position ready to accept the doorframe
  5. Run another bead of silicone between the door cill and the threshold on the frame
  6. Fit the door into position on top of the door cill

Running a bead of silicone on both the door threshold and between the door and the cill will not only help to secure the door in place, but will also help to prevent any water ingress.
